Located 345 kilometres north of Nairobi, the journey to the camp involves a 50-minute flight to the Samburu airstrip followed by a 20-minute drive or a four and a half hour drive from Nairobi for those with more time on their hands.

This luxurious tented lodge offers 27 modern tents with a private view over the wildlife-rich riverbanks. The spacious tents boast the very latest in luxury camping, with soft four-poster beds, handsome mahogany closets and writing desks, and en suite bathrooms with steaming hot showers. The bathrooms also offer twin washbasins, flush toilets, and sockets for shavers and battery charging.

Day 01 : Nairobi - Samburu
Pick from your Hotel or JKIA and transferred to Wilson Airport for the scheduled flight to Samburu National Reserve located in Kenya's arid northern semi-desert country. Samburu is home to the Samburu tribe and many species of wildlife not found in other parts of East Africa. Grevy's zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, long necked Gerenuk along with cheetah, Elephant, Monkeys and numerous birds are just a few of the species Samburu is famous for. The life-giving Uaso Nyiro river flows through the reserve providing a lush oasis where elephants and other wildlife come to drink.

Upon arrival at the Airstrip you will be by your driver/guide from SAMBURU INTREPIDS CAMP and enjoy a game drive on the way to camp. The camp is situated in the shade of tall acacias along the Ewaso Nyiro River, a favorite hang-out for herds of elephant passing through. The beautifully appointed bedrooms tents have wooden verandahs and spacious en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold water, showers and flush toilets. After lunch and time to relax you will be off for an afternoon game drive in this spectacular game reserve. Dinner and overnight at SAMBURU INTREPIDS CAMP (LD)

Day 02 : Nairobi - Samburu
You will have morning and afternoon game drives, withopportunities to take some outstanding photographs in the low morning and afternoon sunlight. As Saamburu is one of the smaller parks, chance for spotting all the big game as well as species unique to samburu such as Grevy's Zebra are excellent. In between game drives, you can do some excellent birdwatching from the verandah of the tent. Dinner and SAMBURU INTREPIDS CAMP (BLD)

Day 03 : Samburu - Nairobi
After breakfast you will be transferred to Samburu Airstrip and board the scheduled flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your Hotel or JKIA.
