Apart from our resident bird life, monitor lizards, and inquisitive squirrels, there are nightly visits from several large crocodiles, and more often than not, at least one member of the magnificent leopard family. Samburu Lodge is beautifully situated on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River with a wide choice of accommodation spread up and down the river in cottages, bandas and single or twin rooms, all facing the river. Everything is geared to making the most of the lodge's spectacular setting. The dining room is open on the riverside with long tables and large buffets. Day 01 : Nairobi - Samburu
Pick from your Hotel or JKIA and transferred to Wilson Airport for the scheduled flight to Samburu National Reserve located in Kenya's arid northern semi-desert country. Samburu is home to the Samburu tribe and many species of wildlife not found in other parts of East Africa. Grevy's zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, long necked Gerenuk along with cheetah, Elephant, Monkeys and numerous birds are just a few of the species Samburu is famous for. The life-giving Uaso Nyiro river flows through the reserve providing a lush oasis where elephants and other wildlife come to drink.

Upon arrival at the Airstrip you will be by your driver/guide from SAMBURU SERENA LODGE and enjoy a game drive on the way to the lodge. Set in a landscape of endless skies, dust-red plains and palm-fringed rivers, this refreshingly rustic lodge is renowned for the timeless beauty of its landscape and the serene tranquillity of its setting. Nestled amidst the acacia groves that border the crocodile-filled reaches of the Uaso Nyiro River, the lodge stands centre-stage to miles of lion-stalked grasslands, elephant-studded plains and wildlife-teeming bush. Day 02: Samburu
This morning you will be awakened early and after some coffee or tea and biscuits, depart at dawn on an early morning game drive. After your drive you will return to lodge for breakfast and then on a late morning game drive. After lunch and time to relax and do some serious bird-watching, you will depart on a late afternoon game drive when again the light is prefect for photography. Return to the lodge early evening in time for drinks around the fire and dinner. Overnight at SAMBURU SERENA LODGE (BLD)

Day 03 : Samburu - Nairobi
After breakfast you will be transferred to Samburu Airstrip and board the scheduled flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your Hotel or JKIA.
